I would give this place five stars just for the cleaning but the actual scheduling of the appointment was a bit troublesome.Scheduling:You pick the service you want, fill in some details about... your place and then they send you a quote shortly after. If you're good with the quote, you pay a deposit and get the receipt as well as a communication that someone will get back to your shortly.I didn't hear from them. So, exactly a week later I followed up like "Hello, I haven't heard back and I want to schedule this service please!" because at this point I had paid them $187 and then didn't hear back. I was worried it was a scam. And before anyone says "Why did you wait so long?" the answer is that I got busy and the original message said they'd get back to me.I asked for a morning appointment and was told only the afternoon was available. Ok, totally fine. So, I took at 12:30 time slot and then arranged for my schedule so that I could do a little pick up in the morning (I have 3 boys and a puppy) and then have my meetings before they arrived so there wouldn't be any disruptions.Well, I got a text at 7:40 am saying they were going to arrive at 8am which I didn't see until 7:58am. SO, needless to say I was still in my PJs when they arrived and I had to move from room to room to conduct my meetings so I wasn't in anyone's way and avoid the noise of vacuums and what not.The Service:The ladies who came and cleaned were AMAZING. They did such a fantastic job, I was blown away! I had been ill for a few weeks (severe allergic reaction) and my apartment had gotten grody. I got the deep clean service so I could go into maintenance mode because I didn't have the time or energy to do the deep clean myself.Again: they did a fantastic job, were so thorough, I was shocked, they even cleaned the blades of my ceiling fans and arranged the toys in my boys' bathtub in a super cute way. Just terrific.The rest of the bill came and it ended up being double what the original quote said.note: The quote did say that the price could go up depending on how much time was spent. However, if it looks like it's going to exceed $100 or so, it would have been nice to know just so I wasn't surprised when I got the final bill.TL;DR: The business side of the business is not great, but the cleaners are AMAZING!!!read more

They exceeded my expectations from... the very beginning. They were prompt, friendly and professional in their communication, easy to schedule with and to get a quote from. I'm not recommending anyone tries to schedule service providers at the last minute in any industry- but these folks came through in no time at all and did an amazing job. The quote was very reasonable for the project, and the work was fantastic. This has been one of the best cleaning services I have had. All is super clear with this company and you are never left wondering about any aspect of the service! Juan, the company's representative,... is very easy to reach. He is prompt to respond and is easy to work with. He takes care of any changes you may need to make and attends to any concerns you may have. The cleaning crew is most professional, pleasant, and thorough. A few days prior to your scheduled date you are sent an email to confirm the service date and time. I particularly love the fact that 30 minutes prior to their arrival I receive a text informing me that they will be there in half an hour. This is extremely helpful as I know when exactly to expect them. The cleaning crew comes with their own cleaning gear and immediately gets to work. They follow any instructions you may have for them and make the cleaning experience truly comfortable. After they leave you have an option to add a tip to your bill. So, you can call Juan to say how much tip you would like to add to your payment. You are then emailed a receipt for the service performed including the tip you may have left. Boardwalk has become my go-to solution for making my house as clean and lovely as it can be! I generally do my own cleaning, but whenever something special comes up, I call in Boardwalk to take it to... a level I don’t have the patience to do myself! Especially helpful, say, if my parents call on Tuesday to say they’re going to come visit for the weekend, just as my work schedule is at its nuttiest… I email Juan and usually within a few minutes (an hour at most) we have arranged for a team to come in a couple days to do a deep clean of our whole house, baseboards, ceiling fans, stove burners…polishing away fingerprints and cleaning along the kickboards in the kitchen. In the days between, I can concentrate on putting things away instead of worrying about futzing with cobwebs and dust behind the toilet bowl.We have always been very happy with their employees, very friendly, good at communicating, and ALWAYS prompt - if anything, they’ve arrived a little early, which is a good thing! And Boardwalk must choose their teams for visual skill - Each time they find a way to arrange pillows/bedcovers/bathroom accessories in a way chicer than I could come up with! Worth every penny!!! Boardwalk does a nice job of basic cleaning every two weeks at my home. There's a lot of inconsistency between their varied crews as to how well certain areas are cleaned, like sometimes they wipe... down the stainless range hood and sometimes they don't. I would like to be able to fill out a checklist of the tasks that are important to me, and for specific instructions like which trash goes in which garbage bin. This is small stuff, I know, and I'm lucky to be able to afford a cleaning service. But for $270 per month a little more attention to detail would be nice. I recommend Boardwalk Cleaning to people frequently, so I obviously value their service. And the guys who handle scheduling and communication are fantastic.read more

we hired Boardwalk Cleaning Co. for a deep move in clean after we moved into a rental house that had quite literally not been deep cleaned in what looked like 5 years. It was an upsetting... circumstance to be moving in to not feeling welcomed in to our new home. The inside of the oven had caked on grime and stains, there were droppings inside some of the cabinets, food stains in the kitchen cabinets, and inches of dust that had accumulated through the house on baseboards, air vents and ceiling fans. By the way, this was the condition after the landlord has insured us he had already had it cleaned. It was disgusting. Thankfully we found Boardwalk Cleaning Co. and they were able to schedule us in quickly. A team of two women arrived with all their supplies and got started with the hard work ahead. They took their time in each room and focused on the details and area I had asked them to. When they finished, I was so happy and thankful I could have burst. They magically had things sparkling clean. I could see through the oven door now and it looked brand new. The ladies wore masks the entire time and booties on top of their shoes for mopping. Great move out cleaning experience. I live in a very old house, which tends to have bugs, dust, spider webs, and misc. gross things pile up quickly. I hadn’t been living there for a few months so it... was definitely not in the best shape. I was so impressed to come by after the cleaning to see a barely recognized house. I honestly don’t think it was that clean when we moved it. I am very confident I will get the full deposit back with their cleaning services. Best cleaning company in Austin.I have been trying different cleaning services over the past 3 years and have always found that they do a subpar job (not properly dusting, banging up things, not... cleaning the windows). they legitimately do not do the job that they are assigned. I've had a number come back to finish the work that they charged me for but didn't do and others who scuffed up the floors or similar.This is the only company that met expectation. On top of this, my mother came to visit (I always get my place cleaned before she visits because she is a huge huge huge stickler and will complain about the smallest things). And this was the first time when she asked if I had a cleaning service or maid come. The first time in 3 years.That's saying something.So, when you see the cost, know that while it may be expensive, it's the only service that my mother acknowledged as having done their job.(EDIT: Just had my house cleaned by then again - spotless!
